The U.S. Army Contracting Command, on behalf of Project Manager Close Combat Systems, issued a sources sought to identify capable sources for production and delivery of MK76-5 Twin Pack Practice Bombs, BDU-33 D/B Practice Bombs, and 25 lb. Bomb Suspension Lugs for FY2027-2031 requirements. The Government is considering one Firm Fixed Price production contract with five one-year ordering periods and approximate annual quantities of 60,000-70,000 MK76-5s, 17,000 BDU-33s, and 17,000 lugs. Manufacturing requires skilled welders/machinists and zinc phosphate coating/painting for the bombs, plus die manufacturing, forging, heat treatment, machining, plating, CNC, and pull-test capabilities for the lugs; TDP access is Distribution D and requires JCP registration, DD Form 2345, SAM.gov accounts, and Data Custodian status. Interested respondents should provide company/CAGE/business-size information, capabilities, ROM prices, monthly production capacity, prior production experience, and supply-chain risk mitigation, and should address feasibility of the preferred 270-day post-award First Article Test and 365-day post-award production delivery lead times. This sources sought is for information and acquisition planning only, does not constitute an RFP or obligate the Government, and SAM registration is required for any eventual contract.
