The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island is issuing this pre-solicitation synopsis for W519TC-24-R-2024. This pre-solicitation synopsis is notice regarding the Repair Roof – Building 208 on the Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL. This requirement will be a 100% total small business set-aside. This is a notice that a solicitation is anticipated to be forth coming and will have all necessary documents, including scope of work. IAW FAR 36.204(h), the magnitude of this project is more than $10,000,000.00. The scope of this project consists of the replacement of an existing low-slope EPDM roof with a new EPDM roofing system on Building B208 located at the US Army Garrison (USAG) Rock Island Arsenal (RIA). This project will consist of a Base Bid (Phase 1) and two (2) Bid Options (Phase 2 and Phase 3). Phase 1-Base Bid work repairs ± 103,454 square feet of existing low-slope singles-ply roofing by removing the existing roofing system and installing a new R-39 insulation, new EPDM membrane system and new covered under the roofing system warranty expansion joint system ± 754 lineal feet, including ±200 lineal feet of roof curb preplacement. Phase 2-Bid Option 1 work repairs ± 87,889 square feet of existing low-slope singles-ply roofing by removing the existing roofing system and installing a new R-39 insulation, new EPDM membrane system and new covered under the roofing system warranty expansion joint system ± 300 lineal feet, including ±80 lineal feet of roof curb preplacement. Phase 3-Bid Option 2 work repairs ± 52,156 square feet of existing low-slope singles-ply roofing and new formed metal end-caps expansion joint system ± 150 lineal feet and ±40 lineal feet of roof curb replacement for the expansion joints. The works in the Base bid and all Bid Options includes the repair and/or new installation of other items associated with roofing system such as relocation of roof drains, installation of new overflow roof drains and downspout outlets, replacement of existing scuppers boxes, flashing, sealing joints, insulation, coping systems, replacement of roof curb expansion system, etc.
