In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy requirements, the acquisition for a follow-on ArmyIgnitED 2.0 effort is being sole soured to BAM Technologies. ArmyIgnitED is the Army's enterprise-wide tuition assistance (TA), credentialing assistance (CA), and civilian education reimbursement management software solution. ArmyIgnitED is being developed based on the existing U.S. Air Force (USAF) AFAEMS system; i.e. it uses AFAEMS as its base platform. The Army is developing additional education management capabilities that are specific to the Army. ArmyIgnitED leverages the existing AFAEMS for TA and reimbursement business processes, data exchange, and business process workflows with selected Army Enterprise Resource Planning systems, including the Army System of Record for Personnel Information and General Finance Enterprise Business System. ArmyIgnitED provides TA and CA management and processes for Army Soldiers, Cadets, and Civilians. ArmyIgnitED also provides online access for academic institutions, vendors and Army education counselors. Once fully deployed, ArmyIgnitED will include education management processes that meet the Army's current and future end-to-end TA, CA, cadet command tuition/room and board assistance, and civilian professional development and training activities. ArmyIgnitED will be used by approximately 500,000 end users located both within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside CONUS.
