This is a notice that a solicitation is anticipated to be forth coming and will have all the necessary documents, including a scope of work. IAW FAR 36.204(e), the magnitude of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Performance and Payment bonds are required. US Army Garrison – Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) is seeking a construction project to remove the existing pavement, grade and fully pave at the end of the Government Bridge at the intersection of East 2nd Street and Le Claire Street in Davenport, Iowa. The Contractor shall provide construction services for the project. The premise for this project is to remove the existing pavement and sidewalk outlined in the plans, re-grade and pour a roundabout intersection. The roundabout, East 2nd Street and Le Claire Street shall be 9-inch Portland Cement Concrete (P.C.C.) with reinforcement at the joints with a standard 6-inch curb and gutter at 30-inch width and 9” depth, placed on a 12-inch modified subbase unless otherwise noted in the plan sheets found in Appendix “A”. The project includes removing the existing Army sign located along the edge of East 2nd Street by removing the existing foundation and building a new foundation and re-erecting the ARMY sign at the new location. Removing and replacing the existing sidewalk along East 2nd Street and Le Claire Street. Adjusting existing manholes and utility valves to the proposed final grades. Relocating existing road barrier blocks to the Rock Island Arsenal. The finish grade shall receive 6” of topsoil and hydro seed, fertilizer and mulch. The project shall be constructed using the Iowa State Urban Design and Specifications Program (SUDAS) 2023.
