The Army Contracting Command-Rock Island (ACC-RI), on behalf of the U.S. Army Office of the Program Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS) at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, intends to award a sole source contract to Conco, Inc. for the refurbishment and/or manufacture and delivery of PA125 metal ammunition containers, including internal packaging components. The PA125 metal ammunition container is the outer shipping and storage container for packaging linked 25mm cartridges (M910/M792/M793). The refurbishment program includes managing and pick up (across the United States) of used PA125 containers and components and inspecting the condition and managing what can be refurbished versus what needs to be scrapped and reprocured/manufactured. The Government intends to solicit and make an award for this requirement to Conco, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1). The resulting contract will be a five-year, Firm-Fixed-Price, Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider responses from all responsible sources received by the required response date and time identified in this posting. Written responses must include sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement. Any responses received will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of the sole source award described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of the Contracting Officer.
