The hangar fire suppression systems on the Roland R. Wright Air National Guard Base require perfluorooctane sulfonate and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOS/PFOA collectively known as PFAS) decontamination and maintenance. While the Aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) concentrate has been updated to a version with significantly lower PFAS concentrations, the system piping still contains AFFF solution with significant PFAS. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary to perform decontamination and maintenance of the PFAS from the fire suppression system piping. This work does not include the disposal of the hazardous PFAS material and is for the decontamination and maintenance services only.
