This solicitation is posted as a Sole Source Acquisition pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 "Only one brand name specific and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements in order to meet the agency's standardization program." WESCAM has been identified as the Sole Source as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and has designed and developed the WESCAM MX-Series of Electro-Optic (EO/IR) surveillance systems and accessories, including the WESCAM MX-Simulator. WESCAM is the only authorized supplier for hte hardware version that can sell the MX-series. In addition, in parternership with VT-MAL, a software only version is available for purchase for MAK users only from VT-MAK. The software license is called the MX-SIMCORE. VT-MAK is the only authorized distributor of the software version of the MX-SIM.
