PLEASE READ SOW Requirement: Hangar Bay Ceiling Paint Chipping CLIN 0001 – The result of this project shall be to remove all chipping paint from the hangar ceiling, trusses, and overhead beams, for the prevention of debris falling on top of aircraft parked within the hangar bay DESCRIPTION OF WORK: -Submit a Project Schedule and a FOD (Foreign Object Damage) Mitigation plan within seven days of award of this project. -The contractor shall submit all materials on an AF3000 for Government review prior to purchase. -Lay out and hang plastic sheeting to protect walls, floors, and miscellaneous items. -Remove loose/peeling paint from hanger ceiling, including trusses and overhead steel beams, using high-pressure air. Clean up all debris. Alternate methods of paint removal may be authorized if submitted in writing by the contractor and Approved by the Base Civil Engineer. -Test paint for lead. -Dumpster/debris disposal will be provided by the contractor. -All work must be completed without damage to any other government property outside of this work scope. -All work performed under this SOW shall be conducted in accordance with all applicable 174 ATKW polices, state and federal laws and regulations, Department of Defense (DoD) policies and regulations including the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC). -All removal of existing painted surface will be cleaned up thoroughly and disposed of properly. - Period of Performance is 30 days - Award will be based on lowest price. - A site visit will be held at Hancock Field 6001 e Molloy rd Syracuse, NY 13211 at 14:00 PM eastern on 11 January 2023.
