Bldg. 260 was constructed in 1974. The building is divided into 12 storage cells containing 24 sets of exterior blast resistant steel double doors. The existing condition of these doors are beyond repair. The project involves the removal and replacement of two existing doors (S & G) in the munitions igloo located inside building 260, and the replacement of the missile shops, “B-1” and “A-1” Bay doors located within bldg. 260. The scope of work for this project will require the contractor to provide and install all material, equipment, labor, & supervision required for a complete and useable system. Installation will include the removal and disposal of the existing steel doors, Blast Engineering for the new doors, fabrication, delivery, and installation of the new doors. This project is on a secure military facility. All personnel accessing the site will be required to submit personal information for a background investigation with the National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index (NCIC-III) and Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB) in accordance with AFI 10-245, AFI 31-101 and AFMAN 31-113. The Government reserves the right to limit access to the facility based on adverse results to the background investigation. All personnel accessing the military facility consent to search of their persons and property. Contract Award is expected in early July 2020. Period of Performance will begin as soon as practically possible given the nations response to COVID-19 Magnitude of Construction: FAR 36.20(c) - Between $100,000 and $250,000 Bid Bond: Bid Bond is required. ref: FAR 52.228-1 Payment Bonds, Performance Bonds, and Insurance will ALL be required after contract award. The Contactor awarded the contract, will be required to have full-time Site Supervision on the project site at all times during construction activities.
