The 145th Airlift Wing Contracting office intends to award a sole source contract to Kistler Instrument Corporation to provide a torque calibration device and accessories for the Kunz Pneumatic Tire Mounter and Demounter, NSN 4910-01-505-6996 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) "When the supplies or services required by the agency are available from only one responsible source." Kistler Instrument Corporation provides the only known calibration device for the Kunz Pneumatic Tire Mounter and Demounter which is already on hand at the 145th Airlift Wing. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in preparation of any capabilities statements or documents prepared for this notice.
