VGLZ 182035 Repair Perimeter Road – Connector Road Selfridge Air National Guard Base, 48045 MI, intends to issue an Invitation for Bids to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances, and supervision necessary for the Construction of VGLZ 182035 Repair Perimeter Road – Connector Road. This project generally consists of the following: i. Construction of a new 2-lane road, off the west side of Jefferson Ave. just south of the entry denial barricades, reconnecting North Perimeter Road and Jefferson Road including a large paved “shoulder” to accommodate the turning radius of full tractor trailer. ii. Installation of subsurface edge drainage for all new pavement sections. iii. Localized grading of the project site to address current inadequate drainage. iv. Removal of approximately 200 LF of existing railroad tracks. v. Removal of the existing paint on Jefferson Ave in the newly constructed intersection. vi. New paint and markings on all new pavements and on the existing pavement for Jefferson Ave in the new intersection of N. Perimeter Rd. and Jefferson Ave.
