Contractor must be locat... Perform corrosion prevention and control measures on 18 vehicles and vehicular equipment listed in Technical Exhibit 1. Services shall be performed at Contractor’s facilities. Contractor must be located within 25 miles of SANGB, MI. Vehicles which must be transported to the Contractor’s location via tractor trailer, as indicated in Technical Exhibit 1, shall be transported at no additional cost to the Government. Government employees will transport all other vehicles to the contractor’s location. The contractor shall identify and perform corrosion prevention and control measures that restore the vehicles listed in Technical Exhibit 1 to a condition designed to; prevent significant vehicle deterioration under existing usage environments at SANGB, enhance safety, and extend vehicle service life. The measures detailed in Technical Exhibit 1 are not a definitive list of actions to be taken, only an estimate of the work that may be required. The contractor shall replace the corroded section of a body component with an industry standard metal using a cut and weld method, or replace the entire component. Automotive body fillers shall not be used as the primary corrosion repair action, but may be used to cosmetically prepare the repaired surface for painting.
