The Maryland Air National Guard Contracting Office is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties to provide a GPS Enabled Airfield Paint Marking Kit. The 175th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) is responsible for maintaining and repairing airfield pavements, including runways, taxiways, and parking aprons, both at home station and in contingency environments. The 175th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) requires a GPS-Enabled Airfield Paint Marking Kit to streamline and improve the accuracy of painting and marking airfield pavements, including runways, taxiways, and parking aprons. The kit should include a modular system that can retrofit existing utility vehicles or be acquired with a new vehicle, along with GPS-controlled autonomous driving capability for precise and consistent paint application. The solution must be capable of spraying the type of paint used in airfield and pavement marking, including retroreflective beads, and enable the rapid planning and execution of various aircraft parking layouts with minimal skill, time, and manpower. The intention is to procure this commodity on a competitive basis. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition, and multiple awards MAY be made. All Small Business Set-Aside categories will be considered.
