The 184th Intelligence Wing, Kansas Air National Guard located at McConnell AFB, KS intends to issue an solicitation to award a single firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances and supervision necessary to perform the Repair of Building 37 Parking Lot project. Synopsis: Remove approximately 38,800 SF of 5 ½” thick asphalt parking lot. Adjust base course and compact to 95%. Provide nuclear density testing at a min of 8 locations. New parking lot to be 6” Concrete. Remove curb and gutter and install one handicap ramp. Stripe parking stalls with white paint. This pre-solicitation announcement is not a solicitation document, but pre-notice of an upcoming solicitation. Specific instructions on submitting your proposal will be contained in the solicitation documents to be issued on or after the date listed below. Proposed Solicitation Issue Date: Estimated on/about March 13th, 2020. The contract duration is at 120 days. This project is set aside for Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction), with a size standard of $36,500,000.00. The cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Your attention is directed to FAR CLAUSE 52.219-14 (b)(4) LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING which states "By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Offeror /Contractor agrees that in performance of the contract the concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees" applies to this project. The tentative date for the site visit is on-or about 25 March 2020, 10:00AM CST at the Civil Engineering Squadron, Building 3, Kansas Air National Guard, 53260 Jayhawk Dr. McConnell AFB, KS 67221. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and shall follow instructions as shown in the solicitation. The bid opening date is scheduled for on-or about 16 March 2020.
