The 149th Fighter Wing requires a full code & criteria review of design documents previously developed for the Corrosion Control Hangar Design (Project KELL169014). The requirement also includes removal of any unnecessary brand name or equal, and basis of design references and replace them with salient characteristics, and a re-baselined construction cost estimate. The scope of this work is anticipated to be a period of performance of 40 days. Further, an option for Type C, Construction Support Services is required for project oversight during Construction project phase. Type C services include documenting and providing answers to contractor’s requests for information, submittals, attendance and records at progress meetings, review of lab results, preparation of as-built drawings, and a number of site visits to inspect the building during construction to ensure the construction contractor is following the design. A sole source justification was signed using the authority of 10 United States Code 3204(a)(1) as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A), Substantial Duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. That justification recommends a sole source award to the Designer of Record: FSB Federal Design Group JV (UEI: H1DKULSE8B89) at 5801 Broadway Extension, Suite 500, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73118-7486.
