HVAC Repair by Replacement - 147th MSG
This combined synopsis/solicitation is for HVAC repair by replacement of a chiller, with all changes highlighted in red in the attachments. Temporary cooling will be required, removal for the permanent chiller must be coordinated with CE, and the contractor is responsible for providing isolation valves to meet requirements. The contractor must field-verify existing conditions and manufacturer requirements for a serviceable strainer, check valve, glycol/freeze protection, and isolation, and must sample/test the existing chilled-water solution for glycol content and condition. Required Government review/authorization includes proposed raceway type/location for electrical work and, if needed, check-valve type, size, location, pressure rating, and pressure-drop information; all installs must comply with NEC and local code, and press fittings are not permitted. Controls are currently local but will be integrated into the DDC/BAS system, with TekPlan identified as the base’s designated controls contractor.
