Please note, bid option #2 has been removed and is no longer a requirement included in this IFB.** **26 August 2020 - Pictures of the hot water boiler and tank have been added. A second site visit has been scheduled for 1 September at 2:00PM AKST. Please meet in the parking lot of 7252 Gibson Ave, JBER, AK and the group will drive to the work site.** **24 August 2020 - A site visit was conducted on 20 August 2020. As a result of the site visit, the Statement of Work has been modified and attachments detailing work components have been added. Additionally, a site visit sign-in sheet has been posted. Please review the added information and submit questions to 176wg.construction@gmail.com by 26 August 2020. Those questions will be answered by 28 August and a 2nd site visit will be conducted on 1 September in order for prospective bidders to view the site again with the new information and questions answered.** Construct Communications Admin & Storage Facility, 176WG, Alaska Air National Guard Solicitation No: W50S6L-20-B-0014 Project No.: FXSB191470 The 176th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK, invites you to an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single firm fixed-price contract for repairing various items in Hangar 18 at the 176th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK. Base Bid Item: Repair various items in Hangar 18 IAW the work elements listed in the SOW. OPTION 1: Renovate flying operations desk area in Room 211 of Hangar 18. OPTION 2: Convert Room 115 and adjacent room of Hangar 18 into a kitchen/breakroom area. Contractor will provide sink with running water and drainage with pump, small countertop with cabinets, shelf for microwave, and outlets for electrical kitchen stove along with outlet for upright refrigerator and microwave. The magnitude of the project, to include the base bid and two (2) options, is between $250,000 and $500,000. A bid bond in the amount of 20% of the offer is required. The total Construction duration is anticipated to be 90 days after notice to proceed for the base contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Government anticipates this opportunity to be a total small business set- aside. The small business size standard is $39.5 million average annual revenue. Your attention is directed to FAR CLAUSE 52.219-14 (b) (4) LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING which states "By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Offeror /Contractor agrees that in performance of the contract the concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees" applies to this project.
