***This is only a presolicitation notice and does not constitute a solicitation for bids - a formal solicitation will follow and this notice will be updated*** Repair HVAC, Fuel Cell, Hangar 21 & Repa... ***This is only a presolicitation notice and does not constitute a solicitation for bids - a formal solicitation will follow and this notice will be updated*** Repair HVAC, Fuel Cell, Hangar 21 & Repair HVAC, Forward Supply, Hangar 10, 176WG, Alaska Air National Guard Solicitation No.: W50S6L-20-B-00013 Project No.: FXSB162228 & FXSB172827 The 176th Air Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK, intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single firm fixed-price contract for repairing HVAC systems in Hangars 21 & 10 at the 176th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard, JBER, AK. Work consists of installing additional air exchange equipment and modifying entrances to east bay of Hangar 21 to meet health and safety building codes to be able to perform maintenance and repair of C-17 aircraft fuel cells in this area. This project also includes installing additional suspended unit heaters and bringing existing make-up air unit back on-line in high bay portion of Forward Supply in Hangar 10. The magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. A bid bond in the amount of 20% of the offer is required. The total Construction duration is anticipated to be 270 days after notice to proceed for the base contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Government anticipates this opportunity to be a total small business set- aside. The small business size standard is $36.5 million average annual revenue. Your attention is directed to FAR CLAUSE 52.219-14 (b) (4) LIMITATIONS ON SUBCONTRACTING which states "By submission of an offer and execution of a contract, the Offeror /Contractor agrees that in performance of the contract the concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees" applies to this project. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on or about 18 June 2020, and the tentative closing date is on or about 21 June 2020. Actual date of time of closing will be identified in the solicitation. An organized site visit will be coordinated and announced when the solicitation is posted.
