REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AND SOURCES SOUGHT FOR PLANNING PURPOSES (a) The Government will not pay for the information submitted in response to this notice. (b) Although “proposal” and “offeror” are used in this Request for Information and Source Sought Notice, your response will be treated as information only. It will not be used as a proposal. (c) This notice is issued for the purpose of obtaining information to serve as market research and to find contractors capable and interested in a possible future procurement to assist in the development of a procurement strategy. The Government seeks potential sources for the procurement of < 2,000 ft of 2.5-3.0 gr/ft metal clad mild detonating cord/fuze (MDC) that is 1.5-2.0 mm in diameter. This MDC is required for explosive signal transfer in prototype military munitions located at Redstone Arsenal. As a result of issuing this RFI and Sources Sought Notice, the Army expects to receive information from potential offerors who possess the capability to deliver MDC to Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. Interested parties should submit white papers not to exceed five pages not including the title page. Do not use font smaller than 12pt font. Potential offerors’ responses to this RFI should include the following: (1) a brief description of the offeror (2) a brief description of products and specifications provided by the offeror; (3) the type(s) of service issues that can be corrected by the offeror. The Government may request further clarification or request presentations to enhance the Government’s understanding of the respondent's submittal.
