REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AND SOURCES SOUGHT FOR PLANNING PURPOSES (a) The Government will not pay for the information submitted in response to this notice. (b) Although “proposal” and “offeror” are used in this Request for Information and Source Sought Notice, your response will be treated as information only. It will not be used as a proposal. (c) This notice is issued for the purpose of obtaining information to serve as market research and to find contractors capable and interested in a possible future procurement to assist in the development of a procurement strategy. The Government seeks potential sources with the experience and expertise to design and fabricate a three-axle 24,000 GVWR, fully outfitted, enclosed telemetry trailer. Please provide your expertise, skill, and experiences designing and fabricating telemetry collection shelter trailers. The trailer shall be automatically self-leveling and include an automatically deploying mast that functions as a camera and antenna-mounting platform. The trailer shall include a Davit Crane so that equipment can be lifted to the roof of the shelter enclosure. The shelter enclosure shall be divided into three rooms with provisions for tables, workstations, power and ethernet connectivity. The trailer must include a 30KW commercial mobile AC diesel engine generator mounted in a compartment engineered for thermal and sound isolation. The shelter enclosure shall be temperature-controlled, with at least a 6-ton HVAC unit installed. The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC), Redstone Arsenal, AL, seeks this requested information to serve as market research to aid in development of the procurement strategy for maintenance and calibration of these telemetry collection trailers. As a result of issuing this RFI and Sources Sought Notice, the Army expects to receive information from potential offerors who possess the capability to provide maintenance and calibration support and meet the following qualifications: - Documented experience in design and fabrication of telemetry collection trailers, including instrumentation. Interested parties should submit white papers not to exceed five pages not including the title page. Do not use font smaller than 12pt font. Potential offerors’ responses to this RFI should include the following: (1) a brief description of the offeror (2) a brief description of similar systems designed and fabricated by the offeror; (3) the type(s) of service issues that can be corrected by the offeror.
