This information is requested for PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. It is not a Request for Proposal. Nothing shall be construed herein or throughout the sources sought process to commit or obligate the Government to further action as result of this sources sought. Responding to this sources sought, indicates the responder understands that they shall bear all risk and expense of any resources used to provide the requested information. All information submitted in response to this request shall become the property of the Government and will not be returned to the submitter. If any information should contain proprietary/competition sensitive material, the responses shall be marked accordingly. This notice is for market research purposes only. Should a requirement arise, the full requirement will be detailed in the solicitation, if issued. The Government is seeking to purchase Microwave Measurement Receivers (MMR) for its Army Calibration Laboratories. The Army shall use the MMR for the calibration of Signal Generators, Radio Test Sets, Filters, Navigation Test Sets and Fixed and Variable Attenuators. Nearly all the parameters of a Signal Generator shall be calibrated with the MMR; RF Output Accuracy, Flatness, Spectral Purity (Harmonics, Non-Harmonics, Sub-Harmonics), Analog Modulation (AM, FM & PM). The Government is also seeking to purchase Alignment/ Verification Systems and/or equipment and/or accessories required for periodic recertification and adjustment of the MMRs and Power Sensor/Modules. This procurement seeks to replace and improve upon the Keysight N5531S Microwave Receiver which was procured in 2005. Please see attached performance requirements regarding this sources sought.
