J&A Control No. 2018-03-08 was approved by the Senior Procurement Executive (SPE) on 29 July 2019 for the new acquisition of the Switchblade Weapon System (SWS), repair services and training on an other than full and open competitive basis pursuant to the authority of TItle 10, U.s.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) & (B) and (iii)(A)&(B), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisy Agency Requirements. The Switchblade Contract Logistics Support contract, W31P4Q-21-C-0029, was awarded on 23 March 2021 for a base period of one year and includes two option years. The SWS is the current solution for the Lethal Miniature Aerial Missile Systems (LMAMS), allowing the warfighter to engage targets with a small, single operator, man-portable, precision guided loitering munition that can be stealthily used in day or night conditions and create minimal collateral damage.
