This is published as a sole source announcement under the statutory authority at 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Tobyhanna Division, Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD), Tobyhanna, PA 18466 intends to negotiate and award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to SupplyNet, Inc., 706 Executive Blvd., Valley Cottage, NY 10989. This requirement is for TYAD to acquire a quantity of 4,750 each PRC-117G Data Cable Unterminated 12 ft. Length, Part Number: TE-32ML-F-12 to be used in the U.S. Marine Corps Terrestrial Cable Program. SupplyNet, Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the sole designer of the PRC-117G Data Cable Unterminated. SupplyNet, Inc. owns exclusive rights to the technical data package (TDP) for the PRC-117G Data Cable Unterminated and is the only known supplier with the required technical knowledge, capability, and unique insight into the manufacturing, engineering and design of the PRC-117G Data Cable Unterminated. SupplyNet, Inc. is the only known source that has completed the extensive environmental testing required for Data Cables Unterminated, which has proven to be successful. The Government does not have a TDP for the PRC-117G Data Cable Unterminated suitable for competition of this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any responsible firms believing they can provide the required PRC-117G Data Cable Unterminated 12 ft. Length, Part Number: TE-32ML-F-12, should within fifteen (15) days of this notice, contact in writing the Contract Specialist identified below and submit a capability statement describing their firm’s capability to meet the Government’s requirement which will be reviewed for consideration.
