MFPs are designed for increased Insensitive Munitions (IM) performance and is used on various 155MM projectiles containing High Explosive (HE) energetics which enhances IM safety. The necessity to apply IM technology to artillery munitions is based on the threats associated with projectiles stored in combat areas or areas where there is a risk of fire. The MFP shall be produced in accordance with the Technical Data Package (TDP), Quality Assurance Provision (QAP) 13058585 and Top-Level Drawing 13058585.The Acquisition Strategy is a 100% Small Business Set Aside (SBSA) for this procurement of the Meltable Fuze Plugs. This acquisition may result in multiple awards (up to two), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts with five (5) one-year Ordering Periods. Best Value Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) procedures in accordance with FAR 15.101-2 will be utilized.
