The U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island at Picatinny, on behalf of PM CAS, has posted a Justification and Approval for a sole-source action to the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs (DEMA). It authorizes a one-year extension of services under contract W15QKN-21-C-0002 for continued storage, material handling, maintenance, and inspection of 155mm artillery ammunition at Camp Navajo, AZ. The action is needed to ensure continuity and prevent a gap in mission support while a long-term follow-on contract is finalized. DEMA was justified as the only responsible source capable of meeting requirements without unacceptable schedule delays and duplication of cost under FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii).
