NAICS Code: 333517 - Machine Tool Manufacturing The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ), on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (CCDC-AC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide: One (1) Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Rifling machine, along with associated equipment, installation and training, to support the prototype manufacturing of large caliber cannon tubes. This machine would be capable of rifling alloy steel cannon tubes ranging from 105mm to 155mm in bore size and up to 15 meters in length. The machine controller would permit programming of all aspects of the rifling profile including but not limited to depth of sequential cuts, rate of twist (to include constant and progressive). The machine shall be capable of utilizing either single point broaches or multi-tooth broaches and have sufficient machine and control safe guards to prevent loss of work piece in the event of a facility power loss.
