The Product Service Code is AD94 (R&D – Defense Other: Other). Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. SUBMISSION DETAILS: Each potential source is requested to provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements of the technical services. These required technical services include the development of technologies and methodologies for the establishment and optimization of both celluloid and nitrocellulose manufacturing capabilities. Specific areas of interest include the creation of advanced and novel analytical techniques, development of new manufacturing technologies for optimization or replacement of existing unit operations, and the establishment of pilot processes focused on small-scale production and feasibility demonstration. Respondents should also demonstrate experience and expertise specific to both celluloid and nitrocellulose. These requirements include an understanding of material properties, recipes and ingredients, and physical and chemical reactions occurring during manufacturing.
