The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny, New Jersey 07806-5000, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Combat Ammunition Systems, intends to issue a Sole Source modification for the production of 155mm Excalibur Ib Projectiles. This modification will be issued under current contract W15QKN-19-C-0017 for the 155mm Excalibur Ib Projectiles with Raytheon. The modification will increase the contract value by $919,244,785 from $1,111,227,984 to $2,030,472,769 and will add two, one-year negotiated options extending the period of performance from 30 April 2024 to 29 April 2026. The modification will be issued under the authority of section 1244, subsection (a), of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 as promulgated in 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(7) or 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(7), with respect to a “covered contract.” The intended modification will be Firm Fixed-Price and will support FY25-26 requirements. Funds are available for this acquisition. This notice of intent is NOT a FORMAL REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) and is only a Sole Source Synopsis for the acquisition and production of the 155mm Excalibur Ib Projectiles.
