ACC-RI at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting a market survey for PM-HS to identify domestic sources capable of manufacturing M284A2 and other 155mm cannon tubes up to 30 feet in length. The survey requests written capability information covering company details and business size, five years of relevant manufacturing experience, full production processes such as cold working/autofrettage, boring/milling, rifling, chrome bore and protective coatings, advanced manufacturing, production capacity, material sourcing, and SAM registration. Respondents should clarify which cannon tube models their capabilities apply to and provide projected production timetables and maximum monthly capacity. The notice also asks for projected available capacity within 18 months and an optimization plan to reach up to ten tubes per month within 36 months, including an NTE ROM cost estimate for an initial 40-tube quantity.
