REQUIREMENT: 1.0 Purified, Type A, gelling protein obtained from collagen extracted from pork-skin (porcine) 2.0 Physical Properties: 2.1 Bloom strength shall be 250 +/-5 g per USP/NF 2.2 Viscosity shall be 44 + 2.0 mps per GMIA 2.3 Clarity shall be < 25 NTU per CCL-010 2.4 Shelf Life When protected from water in a temperature and humidity conditioned environment, the gelatin shall have a shelf life greater than 3 years. 2.5 Ballistic Gelatin Powder shall be packaged in 100lb drums, each pallet shall be no more than 1,200lbs, each pallet shall be made of the same lot of Ballistic Gelatin.
