This is a Sources Sought (SS) being issued by the Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Armaments Center (AC), Munitions Engineering & Technology Center (METC), Fuze and Precision Armaments Directorate (FPAD), Aeroballistics Division. The effort involves a contract for purchase of a compressor, and air storage tanks needed to upgrade the Picatinny Wind-tunnel in building 266 with increased performance capabilities. The NAICs code is 33391 - Pump and Compressor Manufacturing; the Product Supply Code is: 4310 Compressors and Vacuum Pumps. Responders to this SS notice are asked to provide capability statements with the following information related to meeting requirements; A narrative explaining the company’s background, and past/current experience relevant to furnishing and installing modified commercial air compressors with at least 300 PSI capability and at least 950cfm flow rate, and 350 horsepower, as well as furnishing all accessories, to include but not limited to (filters, fittings, oil/water separator, condensate system, air drying towers, flanges, enclosures, and training), and; A narrative explaining the ability to furnish air storage tank(s) with at least 20,000 gallons of total storage in support of 300 PSI compressors along with properly rated piping and connectors, and; The ability to provide training on maintenance, safety, and other handling requirements of the compressor. This is a SS for market research purposes. Any response to this SS is at the sole-discretion of the contractor. No remittance payment will be made for any information sent in response to this SS. Information submitted in response to this SS may be used for procurement planning purposes. The information received by the Government will not be released to third parties.
