The United States Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000 intends to solicit and award a sole source contract for ongoing bulk shredding services for the Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center (DEVCOM AC) for the destruction of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The proposed contract will include a base year and four (4) option years. The Government intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm fixed price contract to Absolute Shredding, LLC, 224 Stockton St, Phillipsburg, NJ. This solicitation is being conducted on a sole source basis pursuant to the authority of 41 United States Code 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.501(a)(2)(i), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. The applicable NAICS code for this effort is 561990. THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Further, this synopsis does not guarantee of a future RFP and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Responses to this synopsis are not considered proposals/quotes and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Amendment 01- The purpose of this amendment is to publish the Sole Source Justification and Approval as an attachment to this notice.
