The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey (CCNJ), on behalf of the Combat Capabilities Development Command – Armament Center (CCCDC-AC), located at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey intends to issue a sole source Request for Quote (RFQ) to ANSYS, Inc., 2600 ANSYS Drive, Canonsburg, PA 15317 to purchase ANSYS Electromagnetic Analysis Software Upgrade and Maintenance. The contractor will provide annual software license maintenance for ANSYS Engineering Simulation Software application User seats that are in operation within the WSEC community. The contractor will provide annual maintenance updates for previously procured and installed licenses that are in place within the WSEC User community and support mission requirements for applications within DEVCOM - AC collaborative integrated development environments. The Period of Performance (PoP) for the maintenance/renewal exchange effort is twelve (12) months. There are three (3) options for software maintenance and renewals of twelve (12) months each. This is a Sole Source RFQ. In accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR 13.106(b)(1). A Sole Source Justification was approved on August 10, 2022 pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) asserting that ANSYS, Inc. is the sole developer, manufacturer, and modifier of the ANSYS Electromagnetic Analysis software and has no authorized resellers; the redacted document is attached to this notice. The applicable NAICS Code for this effort is 511210. THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). Further, this synopsis is not a guarantee of a future RFP/RFQ and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Responses to this synopsis are not considered quotes and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
