The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey, on behalf of U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) – Armaments Center, Packaging Division at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA) cold-rolled steel sheets ASTM A715-50, ASTM A1008/A1008M, or an equivalent Grade 50 HSLA steel with 50,000 psi yield minimum that is easy to form. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF POTENTIAL OFFERORS TO MONITOR THE GPE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMMATION PERTAINING TO THIS REQUIREMENT.” BACKGROUND: The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 331221 with a Small Business Size Standard in number of employees of 1,000. The Product Service Code is 9515. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. SUBMISSION DETAILS: Each potential source is requested to provide information for the minimum and maximum order amounts for the following HSLA sheets: 18 gauge sheets, 20 gauge sheets, 24 gauge sheets and 26 gauge sheets. The sheet size are 4'X8' up to 5'x10'. The source shall list the standard lead times for delivery of the minimum and maximum order amounts. If the source has supplied HLSA sheets to the Government, please provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of the HLSA sheets provided. This will demonstrate the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements for providing HSLA Steel Sheets. Firms shall also provide point of contact information, where available, for the efforts cited above.
