Devens, MA This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or request for quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain the following information: (1) The availability and capability of qualified sources; (2) Whether they are a small or large business relative to their size classification under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for the proposed acquisition (314120), "Curtain and Linen Mills" with a small business size standard of 750 employees. (3) Product Supply Code: 7230 – Draperies, Awnings, and Shades The U. S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey is issuing this Sources Sought Notice in an effort to perform market research to assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy for the teardown and installation of new draperies to be performed at Building 674 located 49 Queenstown Street, Fort Devens, MA 01434 in support of the USAG Ft. Devens Directorate of Plans, Training and Security. The Government intends to award a single firm-fixed-price requirements contract as a result of the solicitation to be issued. The expected period of performance is 120 days from the date of award. The Contractor shall remove the existing drapes and hardware such as rods, mounting brackets, hooks, screws, etc. All removed items shall be disposed of off-site. The Contractor shall provide and install sixty-five (65) wool spun; slate colored blackout Drapes. The contractor shall also provide curtain hardware to include rods, mounting brackets, hooks, screws, etc. A center brace for windows over 48” wide for added support shall be provided, as well as samples of curtains and hardware for acceptance by the government. The hardware finish shall be Antique Silver, the drapes shall be wool spun and shall be blackout in slate color. The contractor shall provide all personnel, supplies, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and other items and non-personal services necessary to provide for the procurement and installation of draperies in accordance with the Statement of Work. Attached is a DRAFT Statement of Work for planning purposes only, bill of materials/ furniture listing and office layout sketch for the area of performance. No solicitation documents exist at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure this requirement or to issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this notice and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers.
