The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – (DEVOM-AC), Pyrotechnics Division at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, has a requirement for an optical integrating sphere system which can be used as a broad band calibration source and as a source of consistent illumination, to allow for easy calibration of light detectors for both on-going and future programs. DEVCOM-AC is looking to identify suppliers that have a commercial product capable of meeting the requirements below. The contractor shall deliver one optical integrating sphere system, including all components for operation (e.g., lamps, spectrometer, attenuator, software, computer) that meets the following criteria: Must have an exit aperture of at least 3 inches in diameter Must have a minimum luminance level of 115,000 cd/m2 (at the exit port). Can use multiple bulbs as required to meet this specification. Must provide spectral radiance from 350-1050 nm in increments of at least 10 nm. Must have the ability to generate variable light levels with a computer-controlled aperture. Must include a software package for data collection and analysis. Must include a Data Acquisition System that is capable of running all software for the equipment. The system shall be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty of 1 year. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited.
