HAMILTON, NEW YORK This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts or request for quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain the following information: (1) The availability and capability of qualified sources; (2) Whether they are a small or large business relative to their size classification under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for the proposed acquisition (812320) with a small business size standard of $6,000,000.00. The U. S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey is issuing this Sources Sought Notice in an effort to perform market research to assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy for the procurement of laundry services for linen and uniforms to be performed near York College and Medgar Evers College located near Brooklyn, NY in support of the 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command. The Government intends to award a single firm-fixed-price requirements contract as a result of the solicitation to be issued. The expected period of performance is to be determined. Laundry services are required for the Soldiers residing in hotels in support of COVID-19 vaccination distribution near Brooklyn, New York City. Laundry shall be picked up and delivered to various hotels within the vicinity of York College and Medgar Evers College in New York. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor and material, equipment, supervision, incidentals, and services necessary for the performance of dry cleaning, organizational bulk and piece rate customer laundry services at government designated facilities. This contract includes functions, tasks and responsibilities normally inherent to a laundry and dry cleaning facility. The Contractor shall receive, account for, process and return articles tendered for laundry. The Contractor shall establish and maintain a system of records to quantify work performed and shall prepare administrative correspondence and reports incidental to the work covered in this contract. The Contractor shall ensure that only authorized individuals are afforded laundry services and shall operate piece rate services and collect monies from individuals for piece rate cash services. Attached is a DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS) for planning purposes only. No solicitation documents exist at this time. Issuance of this notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure this requirement or to issue a solicitation. In addition, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this notice and responses to this notice cannot be accepted as offers.
