The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Armament Center, intends to issue a sole source Request for Proposal to Siemens Industry Software Inc., LLC 5800 Granite Pkwy Ste 600., Plano, TX, 75024-6612, CAGE Code 1HCQ1 pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 for software license renewals and maintenance for Siemens Simcenter 3D for which they are the only company that can provide. There are no companies that can provide the requested systems that can provide new software licenses, and the support for existing software licenses. The resultant contract shall be awarded as a firm fixed price contract with a period of performance of: Period of Performance – 12 months from date of award The applicable NAICS Code for this is 511210. For this effort the contractor is to provide continued upgrades and maintenance on the existing set of Siemens Simcenter 3D licenses. This software is used to build accurate simulation models, simulate their real-life performance, quickly assess multiple design alternatives, and optimize designs before prototype production. Siemens Product Lifecycle Management Software, Inc. is currently the only company that can provide the required new software licenses, and the associated maintenance for both the new, and existing licenses. THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Further, this synopsis does not guarantee of a future RFQ and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Responses to this synopsis are not considered proposals/quotes, and, cannot be accepted by the Government to form a bidding contract. The Government anticipates an RFP to be issued on or about 1 October 2020.
