The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey (ACC-NJ), on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) - Armament Center, located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ has a requirement for yearly preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, equipment calibrations, and hardware upgrades for one (1) JEOL IT500HR Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), one (1) JEOL CarryScope JCM5700, one (1) JEOL JSM 6380LV SEM and two (2) ULVAC Model G-100DD equipment. The Government intends to award one contract with four (4) option periods, on a sole source basis, to JEOL, USA, Inc., 11 Dearborn Road, Peabody, MA 01960, U.S.A. the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Only the OEM is licensed to perform the services required. A Sole Source Justification was approved July 27, 2021 pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) asserting that JEOL USA, Inc. is the only source capable of providing the required equipment maintenance services; the redacted document is attached to this notice. The applicable NAICS for this effort is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance and the small business size standard is $22 million. All questions/responses must be received NO LATER than September 22, 2021 in writing. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
