The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey, on behalf of U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Armaments Center (CCDC-AC), Quality Engineering and Systems Assurance (QESA) Division, at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to provide, for the Radiography Laboratory Facility (Building 908), a Computed Tomography (CT) high-energy x-ray machine with the capability of a 6MeV x-ray source to be integrated into our current 3MeV computed tomography (CT) system as an upgrade/replacement of source; in addition, the current 3MeV x-ray source is to be relocated to another location in the laboratory to be integrated into a current but non-operational digital radiography (DR) system. In order to achieve the high spatial resolution we desire, it is our goal that the 6MeV x-ray source will have a focal spot size ? 1.3mm.
