The U.S. Army Contracting Command New Jersey on behalf of the U.S. Army Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM MAS), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources having an interest and industry technologies available to support/provide the production and delivery of 5.56mm, Jacketed Frangible, MK311 (AA40) cartridge. The Government requires the manufacture and delivery of up to a total quantity of 192M AA40, 5.56mm, Frangible, MK311 cartridges during the FY22-FY27 timeframe. The 5.56mm, Frangible, MK311 cartridge shall be built to Performance Specification, PRF16001A0006 w/AMENDMENT 1 dated 26 June 2019, Distribution Statement D. The Government does not intend to provide the performance specification for market research purposes. Firms interested in the production of the 5.56mm, Frangible, MK311, AA40 should adequately describe their experience in the manufacture of small caliber ammunition systems contracting and provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing and first delivery time after receipt of order (ARO).
