INTRODUCTION The Department of the Army, U.S. Contracting Command – New Jersey (CCNJ), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is issuing this sources sought notice in the form of a survey, on behalf of the Project Manager Close Combat Systems (PM CCS), as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources that can manufacture, Load, Assemble, Pack (LAP), deliver, and support Munition, Wide Area Top Attack (TA), XM204. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/QUESTIONAIRE IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. ITEM DESCRIPTION Project Manager Close Combat Systems is seeking sources that can manufacture, Load, Assemble, Pack (LAP), deliver, and support Top Attack, XM204 munition. The XM204 is a hand emplaced, anti-vehicular (AV) munition system. The system will be used as a key component within a terrain shaping obstacle. The munition will influence enemy maneuver or deny access to key terrain. The XM204 consists of a Dispenser Launcher Module (DLM), and (4) top attack submunitions. Once manually armed, the XM204 system autonomously detects, tracks and engages target vehicles using seismic & acoustic sensors and radar within the DLM, and multi-array thermal & laser detection sensors within the Top Attack Submunition. A top attack submunition is launched by a rocket motor and engages a target using a High Melt Explosive (HMX) initiated warhead. The current overall dimensions of the TA DLM are 16.1 in W x 19.6 in L x 9.6 in H with an 84 lb. weight limit for two-soldier carry. REQUIRED CAPABILITIES The Government requires sources that can manufacture, Load, Assemble, Pack (LAP), deliver, and support XM204 munition. The manufacturer should be able to produce a base quantity range of 100 – 250 annually as well as be able to surge up to 300 quantities to accommodate additional customer requirements. The manufacturer must be capable of meeting first article within 9 months after contract award. Participation in this Survey/Sources Sought Notice opportunity will require access to Technical Data Package (TDP) that possesses a Distribution D distribution statement.
