Description: The US Army Contracting Command, New Jersey (CC-NJ) on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (OPM-MAS) is seeking to identify potential sources for the manufacture and delivery for the cartridges listed below. .338 Norma Magnum (NM), XM1162, Armor Piercing (AP) Ammunition (DODIC: AC32) .300 Norma Magnum (NM), XM1163, Ball Ammunition (DODIC: AC33) The cartridges are used for precision sniper applications out of the MK21 Advanced Sniper Rifle (ASR)/ Precision Sniper Rifle (PSR) which is currently manufactured by Barrett. These cartridges are identified by a unique Department of Defense Identification Code (DODIC) that describes the caliber and cartridge type. Each DODIC will reference a Distribution D Detailed Specification that defines dimensional, material, performance and test requirements for each cartridge and accepted in Government specified test barrels. The estimated quantity to be procured for each fiscal year is up to 4.2M for .300 NM Ball and up to 1.9M for .338 NM AP. Distribution Statement “D” means distribution is authorized to the Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. DoD contractors only (Critical Technology). The Detailed Specifications contain technical data whose export is restricted by the Arms Export Control Act, (Title 22, U.S.C., Section 2751 et seq.) or the Export Administration Act of 1979, as amended, Title 50, U.S.C., app 2401, et seq. Violations of these export laws are subject to severe criminal penalties. Offerors must be registered with the U.S./Canada Joint Certification Office to obtain a copy of the Detailed Specifications. Planned Acquisition: The Government is seeking interested sources to fulfill FY22-27 requirements. Submission Information: Interested sources who feel they are capable of manufacturing and delivering the above cartridges are invited to indicate their interest by providing the Government: 1) A brief summary of its company’s capabilities, facilities, personnel, and past manufacturing experience, and 2) Monthly production capacities with assumption about number of shifts and any other production factors that may affect monthly capacities. Once a determination has been made by the Government as to the capabilities of the interested sources, the Government will release the required detailed specifications. Please identify any Proprietary information submitted. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of this market survey. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
