The purpose of Amendment 01 to Sources Sought Notice (SSN) W15QKN-20-X-0AH9, is to post questions and answers received from interested sources. Questions: Can you clarify what repairs exactly are needed? Is it replacing the steel deflection plates or are additional repairs needed to the deceleration chamber and bullet collection system as well? Government Answers: The main repairs involve replacing the upper and lower mouth plates where holes and heavy deterioration has occurred. There is also a need for installation of several bridges at the mouth of the trap throughout the entire range to keep the steel from sagging (smiling). The steel plates are currently showing signs of sagging at the mouth of the trap which can/will restrict rounds from entering the deceleration chamber. Repairs are not required for the deceleration chamber or bullet collection system at the moment, but there is a plan to inspect the deceleration chamber to ensure no damage occurred when the rounds punched through the upper plate. ***End of Amendment 01.*** The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey, on behalf of U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Armaments Center (CCDC AC), Munitions Engineering and Technology Center at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, is conducting market research to determine the capability of businesses to repair a TCT-4 bullet trap system manufactured by Action Target, Inc. The integrity of the metal has become visibly impaired and the bullet trap system is in need of repair. The TCT 4 bullet trap system has to be repaired to ensure the safety of the shooters and everyone in the vicinity of the range. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 713990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $8M. The Product Service Code is J078. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. SUBMISSION DETAILS: Each potential source is requested to provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements stated above to provide repair services to the TCT 4 bullet trap system. Firms shall also provide point of contact information, where available, for the effort cited above. In addition, please provide the firm’s name and address, point of contact with telephone number and email address, CAGE Code and DUNS number, and size of business (i.e. large, small, disadvantaged, veteran owned, woman owned, etc.).
