In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.201(b), “For acquisitions of supplies or services other than those covered by the exceptions in FAR 5.202 and the special situations in FAR 5.... In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.201(b), “For acquisitions of supplies or services other than those covered by the exceptions in FAR 5.202 and the special situations in FAR 5.205, the Contracting Officer must transmit a notice to the Government wide Point of Entry (GPE) for each proposed contract action meeting the threshold in FAR 5.101(a)(i).” The U.A. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey, on behalf of PM Soldier Lethality, intends to solicit, negotiate and award a sole source award to Remington Arms Company LLC, pursuant to the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Modification for additional work to Remington Arms Company, LLC not to exceed $637,500.00. The NAICS code for this requirement is 332994 with the size standard of 1,000 employees. The contemplated sole source contract will include the procurement of the M24 Sniper Weapon System including accessories. The weapons will supplement the existing inventory of the General Command Police Special Units GCPS) under Afghanistan Special Security Forces (ASSF) which have purchased the M24 SWS since 2013.
