Solicitation Number – W15QKN-20-Q-0086 Synopsis Yaskawa Motoman 6-axis Robotics AE34 R&D: Manufacturing Technology – Engineering Development 333992 manufacturing welding and soldering equipment and accessories (except transformers) Posted for two weeks The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Armaments Center has a requirement for one (1) Motoman 6-axis Robotic Manufacturing Cell along with installation and intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) to three (3) vendors. The three vendors include Praxair - 10 Riverview Dr. Danbury, CT, Airgas- 2015 Vaugn Rd Ste 400 Kennesaw, GA, and Yaskawa Motoman – 2121 s Norman Dr. Waukegan, IL. This RFQ is being issued as a brand name only requirement under the authority of Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.5. Interested firms that can also support this requirement are encouraged to inquire regarding this notice in order to receive the RFQ. The Yaskawa Motoman GP25 is a high volume handling and packaging 6-axis robotic system. The system provides reduced-interference design that permits close proximity to other robots and processing equipment. The resultant contract shall be awarded as Firm Fixed Price. The period of performance for this effort is twelve (12) weeks from date of contract award. The applicable NAICS Code is 333992 manufacturing welding and soldering equipment and accessories (except transformers). THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ). Further, this synopsis does not guarantee the release of a future RFQ, and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Responses to this synopsis are not considered proposals/quotes, and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. All inquiries to this notice shall be in writing.
