The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey (ACC-NJ), on behalf of the Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Armaments Center, has a proposed acquisition for the purchase of one (1) environmental chamber to use for material characterization testing experiments. The contractor shall also provide installation and training. The period of performance shall be seventy-five (75) days after contract award. The Government intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm fixed price purchase order to Illinois Tool Works Inc. dba Instron, 825 University Ave, Norwood, MA, 02062, utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Sources Sought Notice (SSN) W15QKN-20-X-0A8X was posted on 3 March 2020 and closed on 14 March 2020. One submission was received in response to this notice, from Instron. Instron’s submission was reviewed by the Government’s technical community and Instron was determined capable of meeting the Government’s requirement. A request for quote (RFQ) for the aforementioned environmental chamber was sent to Instron on 2 June 2020 and a quote is due by 16 June 2020. This notice does not constitute a request for quote (RFQ). Responses to this notice are not considered proposals/quotes, and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government will not pay for any information provided under this notice. All inquiries to this notice shall be in writing.
