*****Proposal due date has changed to 08/28**** Please see attached Request for Quote for the Motoman 6-axis Robotic Manufacturing Cell. Please note that all of Section J Attachments to the RFQ are included in this posting. It is requested that a quote is be returned by 4 PM est on 28 August 2020. Please review attached notice for all vendors, that the Government intends to include the provision FAR 52.204-21 and the clause at FAR 52.204-25 in all contracts, task orders, delivery orders. The purpose of the letter is to implement the Section 889(a)(1)(B) Prohibition on Contracting with Entities Using Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment Clauses. Please see below some questions and answers regarding the RFQ: 1. You indicate 3 additional external motors. Are these motors for the 3 Axis robot positioner? Answer: We require a minimum of three (3) input and three (3) out controls for external devices/machines/peripherals. 2. You mention a Schunk End Effector package. Can you let us know what the tooling will be handling? Size, weight, configuration etc.? Answer: The contractor shall deliver a Schunk End Effector Package that includes standard tools for various operation. (i.e. different operations need different shapes.) 3. On the 3 Axis Robot positioner. Are you moving the 6-axis robot arm with this? If so, I assume this is an overhead gantry type configuration. Please confirm. 6 axis robot is on gantry Answer: Yes. 6- axis robot with overhead configuration. 4. Do you have any tolerances or specification requirement for the Renishaw CMM package? Answer: No just standard tolerances tables will be bolted too floor. 5. The application included additive manufacturing. Is this a welding additive system? Welding is an additive but is not a standard IE settings for PLA. If so, what welding system are you using? Answer: Not using any welding machine only part move printer to printer or finish, place or rotate for inspection or completion. 6. The statement of work appears to be in reference to an existing layout, could you please provide that for us? Answer:Space dimensions that gantry must fit in: 23' x 25' x 16.5' (W x L X H) 7. We manufacture a few 2-axis positioners with the requested payload. Please see below if either one of these would work? Answer: I don't see the alternatives, but 6-axis robotic arm is required. 8. In 4.2.2 of the requirements in the SOW, do you mean "quantity", not "quality?" Answer: Yes Quantity. 9. What size Motoman external motors are required? Answer: One tilt turn turntable 500 lbs limit 10. Can we receive more details on the ATI Tool Changer Package and Schunk End Effector Packages? Answer:Schunk tools PGN-plus-p 40-1,PGNPLUS 64-1-AS-P,PGN-PLUS-P50-1,DPZ-PLUS50-1AS,DPZ-PLUS80-2-AS,PZH-PLUS20,PZN-PLUS64-1-AS-P,GSM-P32-AS-E-180,GSM-P64-AS-E-180, ATI TSS TO support 9 tools ex post module, horizontal module, verical toolings interface plate, mounting module assembly, proximity sensors, tooling interface plate assembly 11. What are the required dimensions of the Ultra-flat heavy duty steel table? Answer: 34in X 48in X 30in 12.What is the size of the cell to help calculate the required safety fencing Answer:37 linear feet of fence and 2 doors for room size 23ft x25ft plus. Once door is for personnel to enter. One door should be 8 foot roling door for equipment to enter. 13. Could you please tell me if this is a new requirement, or if there is a current or previous contractor who has performed similar services? If available, can you please send along the incumbent contract or task order number? Answer: This is a new requirment. 14. You indicate 3 additional external motors. Are these motors for the 3 Axis robot positioner? Answer: We require a minimum of three (3) input and three (3) out controls for external devices/machines/peripherals. 15.Are these the Yaskawa motors that will drive the Overhead 3 axis Gantry; as add-on peripherals to the Motoman/Yaskawa Controller? Answer: Overhead gantry shall be controlled with the DX200 Controller. 16. On the 3 Axis Robot positioner. Are you moving the 6-axis robot arm with this? If so, I assume this is an overhead gantry type configuration. Please confirm. 6 axis robot is on gantry Answer: Yes. 6- axis robot with overhead configuration. 17. Overhead Gantry with X,Y,Z motion? Answer: Yes the Gantry shall have X,Y,Z motion and controlled by the DX200 software/controller. 18. Can we receive more details on the ATI Tool Changer Package and Schunk End Effector Packages? Answer: Schunk tools: PGN-plus-p 40-1 PGNPLUS 64-1-AS-P PGN-PLUS-P50-1 DPZ-PLUS50-1AS DPZ-PLUS80-2-AS PZH-PLUS20 PZN-PLUS64-1-AS-P GSM-P32-AS-E-180 GSM-P64-AS-E-180 19.ATI TSS to support (9) tools ex post module, horizontal module, vertical toolings interface plate, mounting module assembly, proximity sensors, tooling interface plate assembly EX Post Module– Does this mean Tool Buffer to hold the (9) Schunk EoAT’s Answer: Both Controller and Tool Stand must support 9 tools. Controller configured for 9 tools. Tool stand must hold 9 tools. 20. What are the required dimensions of the Ultra-flat heavy duty steel table? Answer: 34in X 48in X 30in 21.“Ultra-Flat” – Blanchard Ground meet this requirement? Or is there a specific “flatness” tolerance? Answer: Blanchard Ground should meet the requirement.
