Purpose: The Army Contracting Command (ACC) New Jersey, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000 is conducting a Market Survey on behalf of the Joint Program Executive Office Armaments and Ammunition (JPEO-AA) to identify potential sources for Optical Fire Control (OFC) Kits and Associated Basic Issue Items (BII). Description: This Sources Sought is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or an obligation on the part of JPEO-AA-TAS or CCDC Armaments. The OFC Kit and Associated BII are integral to the operation of the M777A2 LW155mm Integrated Digital Fire Control System (DFCS) that enables the M777A2 LW155mm to emplace and displace faster and fire more accurately. Construction consists of a metal housing and optical components. Manufacture of these items will require the ability to perform precision machining, and assembly of instruments whereby all parts are manufactured to tolerance and additional skill and experience is required to assemble a compliant instrument. Familiarity with characteristics of high shock and vibration proof equipment is essential. The Technical Documentation for this procurement will be Distribution C, and vendors will be required to fill out DD Form 2345 prior to receipt of technical data related to this sources sought. All interested vendors are requested to provide: 1. Statement of capability describing the vendor's capability to provide the item. 2. Rough Order Magnitude Cost to provide supplies/services. 3. Rough Order Magnitude Schedule to provide supplies/services inclusive of First Article Test. Submissions of designs that are not fully compliant with all requirements are also encouraged so that JPEO-AA-TAS and JPEO-AA-TAS or CCDC Armaments may assess the capabilities of all currently available sources. The Government recognizes that proprietary and/or classified data may be a part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted/proprietary and classified data and present them as an addendum to the nonrestricted/non-proprietary and unclassified information. As a result of this Sources Sought a Request for Proposal (RFP) may be issued to acquire the OFC Kits and BII. Participation in this Sources Sought is completely voluntary by the vendor and as such all costs to develop the vendor's response are to be borne by the participating vendor.
