The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Armament Center, intends to issue a sole source Request for Proposal to Laser Techniques Company, LLC 11431 Willows Rd NE Ste 100, Redmond, WA 98052-2501, CAGE Code 1ZBL3 pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 for two (2) portable laser bore scope inspection systems for which they are the only company that can provide. There are no companies that can provide the requested systems that can provide erosion and material loss data. The resultant contract shall be awarded as a firm fixed price contract with a period of performance of: Delivery Date - 60 Days After Date of Award The applicable NAICS Code for this is 334516. For this effort the contractor is to provide two (2) portable laser bore scope inspection systems, and all associated hardware and software. They will be used to inspect 290mm smooth bore cannon tubes and provide full bore erosion and pitting profiling, laser based measurement, and high resolution laser video imaging, material loss and erosion feature detection, and 3D modeling and analysis. Laser Techniques Company, LLC is currently the only vendor that can provide bore scope inspection systems with these capabilities. THIS SYNOPSIS DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Further, this synopsis does not guarantee of a future RFQ and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government. Responses to this synopsis are not considered proposals/quotes, and, cannot be accepted by the Government to form a bidding contract. The Government anticipates an RFP to be issued on or about 30 August 2019.
